Fuyuki's modern adaptation of Greek mythology about the love between Hades the God of the Underworld and Persephone, the daughter of Demeter. The Greek gods and goddesses now assume human forms but still retain all their vast powers. All except for high school student, Arisa who for some reason is unable to remember her past incarnation as Persephone and her life with Hades who in this present day is her classmate, Amano. But the strength of their joint destinies is so strong that even without those memories, Arisa falls in love with Amano just like Persephone with Hades hundreds of years ago. But this time, Amano is determined that he will not lose Arisa like in the tragic past. He will protect her even if it means going against every immortal being and will not yield her to Zeus who wants to unlock the secret and the mysterious power that Persephone had then and Arisa has now.

If you like mythology then this is quite the find for you! I went and looked up some of the stories within this manga and I was surprised because they were pretty close if not exact but redone in such a cool fashion! I really like the modern twist that it has... I know it sounds ridiculous but I think it would be so cool if this could actually happen... Gods and Goddesses all around!

Now as you can tell I like the story... It's engaging enough I want to read the rest of it instead of just stopping at the original 5 chapters I usually read. That alone speaks volumes because I won't waste my time reading something that isn't at least interesting. So at the very least you can be sure you won't mind the story... I feel like there are so many more twists coming too!

If you're worried about the art style... Don't be... It's so nicely drawn... The art's not quite the style I'm used to seeing but it is beautifully drawn so it doesn't seem odd or out of place... In fact it matches the story really well.

While we are looking at all these little aspects of the story let's take a look at the rating I decided to give it...

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Read" rating I give this...

There isn't really anything else I can think of that I can say about this manga because I've pretty much said it all already... To be honest you just have to go check it out for yourself to see what I mean!

Well that's all for now!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a romantic and fun filled day!

Lovedol, or Lovely Idol, is a girl group consisting of two generations of idols. The 3rd Generation is about to make its debut, but to their surprise, they have been delayed! The vague reason is only that "they lack something." The manager, and the 3rd Gen. girls too, must find the answer.

My review!!!

You can find this anime on...

AnimeSeason: Lovedol: Lovely Idol

I have to say one thing right away... It is done in an older art style... That being said I feel it is done really nicely. There are some that are done good enough that the older art style is nice but some that absolutely get butchered... This one was thankfully not butchered. Now for the story...

I think it is an approach to an idol anime that I haven't seen often... Even though we are following the idols we are also following the manager. I feel like most idol anime or manga I've seen always focus on the idols and whoever they are around but if they aren't around them we don't see anything about them... In this one we actually see the manager struggling to find the missing links that are needed for his idol group to debut.

Speaking of debut... Let's debut the rating shall we?

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Watch" rating I give this...

I don't know about all of you but I personally love idol anime and manga... It's fun because for me it brings me into a world that I have no chance of entering any other way... Let's face it... Not everyone can be an idol! But when I read or watch something like this I get brought into that world... I get so engrossed in the work that I can actually convince myself I'm really living as one of the idols I'm watching or reading about.... But this only happens if the story is a good one. This one isn't good enough to get me so engrossed I feel like I'm there but it is good enough to get me a little caught up in the moment.

Even though it has the older art style it is pleasing to the eye... But like all the older art style ones there are points where it feels like it is a picture to music or words instead of an actual anime. For the most part this doesn't cause a problem but occasionally it will distract me enough that I lose that "I'm this idol" feel I love getting so much. As for how I think it will go... I don't see this being the make or break point for me on this one because everything connects well enough that I don't feel like it isn't fun to watch.

With all that being said I think I'll end this review here... Check it out and let me know if you share my opinion or if you think I got it totally wrong! I look forward to chatting with you all in the comments!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a day-dreamy day!

My review!!!

You can read the manga here...

This manga was a little bit of a surprise to me... It isn't just one story. In the first 5 chapters I have seen two separate stories... Well I think they are separate anyway... I wouldn't know until I read more of it.

The stories I did see where really good... They feel like they have more to say so I can only guess that it will continue on later in the manga. I really hope they do because I don't like being left with questions.... In a manga like this one it is really hard to make a complete assessment of it when I limit myself to only the first 5 chapters... There just isn't enough to be sure if you're right!

With all that in mind I did manage to rate it and here is what I decided..

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Read" rating I give this...

8

So I bet you're wondering about how this manga gained an 8 for a rating when I said it was hard to be sure about it right? Well let me start by saying the art was wonderful... I could have looked at the manga all day and been happy about it. Add that to the fact that the stories I've read were well thought out and well written and I would think it was obvious that it would get a good rating.

I think that the stories themselves are good but I felt like I wanted to know more or that maybe the stories are somehow connected... Because of this I wasn't able to give it a higher rating. I really do hope they are connected because that would change the rating to a 10... I love when stories seem like they have nothing to do with each other and then "wham" you're hit with a connection that while it makes no sense it also fits perfectly!

It's even better when it is more than two stories that connect somehow... Thinking of this happening is what is driving me to read the rest of this manga! I hope that my rambling review of the manga has made you also want to check it out for yourselves... After all..... Who doesn't love a good story?

Well that's all for now!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a romantic and fun filled day!

Another One Room series telling "another story" featuring male characters

My review!!!

You can find this anime on...

Crunchyroll: Room Mate

So as you can tell we don't have much of a synopsis.... Have you ever heard of the anime OneRoom? No?? Let me start with that...

The first thing you need to know... is that OneRoom is a first-person anime"... OneRoom is about as close as we're going to get (for now) to being part of an actual anime series. The mini-anime, made up of four-minute episodes, puts the viewer at the center of day-to-day romance comedy with their three cute female neighbors. It's probably such short episodes because it is hard to make you a part of a conversation or interaction for longer than that.

But OneRoom only addressed those who are interested in having a relationship with girls... Now enters Room Mate! Same theory different gender! This one is three young boys and your not just their neighbor... Again it is short though.

I guess until they make them in VR style we can expect it to be short... I think this anime set is the start to that actually... If they have it set in VR then what you actually look at or touch matters... Not only that but you could choose a response to the questions instead of just having an awkward pause.

I have to admit I kinda wanna see it go in that direction though. I would love to feel like I'm part of some of these anime... Though I suppose at that point it would be more like a game than an anime... oh well... I can dream right?

But for this anime I've only these episodes to work with so lets rate this gem...

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Watch" rating I give this...

What can I say... The silent pauses got to me... What if I wasn't thinking the response the animator thought I would have? Then the next thing they say doesn't fit my train of thought... Which killed it even more. It's not a bad idea if you go into it telling yourself not to respond or you might get disappointed... But for me that disappointment was a bit too much to give it a great rating.

This review is just as short as those episodes! Sorry about that everyone but it is really hard to think of things to say when the material is a total of 20 minutes combined for all 5 episodes. That's usually the length of one episode! Well it's been fun but that's all I've got for now! Catch ya later!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have an interactive and fun!

My review!!!

You can read the manga here...

I'm sure you are thinking about how I already covered this title... And you would normally be right... Except the other one was the Anime and this is the manga. Though there are not many differences I can say there are some.

I don't believe the changes are noticeable in the first 5 chapters though... I have read everything available on MangaPark though so I can say the anime basically follows the manga. If you don't like watching anime but like reading manga then this is a good option for you since it will allow you to know what any friends who have only watched the anime are talking about.... And you can sometimes surprise them by knowing more details about it than they do!

So I would say it is worth checking out... But if you are one of those people who, like me, read and watch anything to do with a title you like... I would say that you should give it a little time before reading it because you will feel like you know exactly what will happen next... and while you won't be completely wrong... I have found that when I read something and feel that way I tend to skip parts and then later I find out I missed some important detail because I thought it was another thing that was going to happen... You just are too familiar with the story to be objective!

Speaking of objective... Here's my completely objective rating!

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Read" rating I give this...

.
.
9
.
.
.
Based on the art style and the fact I love the story I had to give it a 9... It just never fails to catch and hold me... I had a day where I only planned to read a few chapters and it ended up that I was still reading three hours past when I wanted to stop... I take a while to read them because I am studying all the art too... I love to draw so I get caught up with that sometimes. But over all I have to say that everything is there... This story is a complete package!

That's all I have to say about that!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
