I don't know how many of you are up to date on my "get back in shape" goals thing... For those of you who aren't.. Here's what's goin on!
I have been trying to find ways to get back in shape... I have had three kids and am on medicine that makes two things happen... One is that I gain weight super easy... The other is that I have a hard time losing the weight I gain from the meds... As of right now coming off the meds is not an option so I need to figure out ways to shed the pounds they make me gain!
I have done surprisingly well so far going from a staggering 250 lbs down to 199 lbs. but I'm not satisfied! I want to be down in the 120 - 140 lbs range. I've done numerous challenges trying to reach this goal but unfortunately they were not things I could stick with.
So I was thinking.... What about Jump-rope?
LOL yes I made the banner... I have an idea... Since I am out of shape and don't even know if I can do this without hurting myself but I talked to my doctor and they told me to take it really slow to start.
I am going to spend ONE day a week jumping for 5 minute intervals with 5 minutes in between for a total time of 1 hour... that's 6 sets of jumping.... and I'm going to do that for a month...
Ya I know that sounds soooo slow... but if I can manage that I am going to double it the next month... I'm thinking along the lines of this being the MINIMUM I do the jumping... If I feel up to it I will do more.... Now after I get to this part is when the challenge starts... That was all just challenge prep!
I watched +Taylor R テイラー and she has a skipping exercise routine that you have to be able to jump for 5 minutes at a time then do other exercises in between that... I want to replace those jumping days with doing her routine for the challenge.... The goal will be to do it twice a week for 6 months.
Yes it is a long goal but short isn't gonna work!
I'd share the video with you here but I haven't gotten permission from her to do that so I can't.
I had surgery last Tuesday so this will start after I'm cleared to start by my doctor... I'll keep you updated on when that might be but I am thinking it will be a few more weeks at the least.
