Gene Starwind has always dreamed of piloting his own ship out into the vast sea of stars. Unfortunately, not all dreams come true, as he spends his days working odd jobs alongside his partner, James Hawking, on the small planet Sentinel III instead. However, this all takes a turn when the duo takes on a job from Rachel Sweet who, unbeknownst to them, is actually a treasure-hunting outlaw. Tasked with protecting a mysterious girl known as Melfina, the meeting irrevocably changes the pair's lives as they are sent out into the great unknown aboard the highly advanced ship, Outlaw Star.
Seihou Bukyou Outlaw Star follows Gene and his ragtag crew as they brave the final frontier, navigating the stars in search of answers to the mysteries surrounding Melfina. Encountering dangerous bounty hunters, space pirates, Taoist mages, and even catgirls, there is sure to be an exhilarating adventure around every corner.
My review!!!
The Anime can be watched here...
You can also watch it in MyAnimeList's video section but I can't.. Here's that link...
You can buy the anime here...
So with all that being said, this review is going to be lacking.... I spent the last two weeks trying to make myself go back and watch the second through fifth episode.... I failed miserably! I'm sorry but I can't try any longer because now other reviews are suffering for it! Today I am starting the next review material. Here is how I rated the one episode I did watch...
On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Watch" rating I give this...

The story dragged on so that I could literally summarize the entire first episode in a few sentences! We meet the protagonist and a fight happens to show how tough he is. Protagonist gets a job that goes wrong. While that could be a good story, it feels like it isn't because this is literally a half hour to make it to the point that everything goes wrong. It was crazy slow!
Now most of the time the animation will cover up for this but this one is an older style animation so unless you really like that art style you will find yourself not really paying attention at all.
I am one who doesn't really like the style unless there is a good story.
So with all that in mind I ask that you forgive me for not watching any more of it but I really did try. I would end up just staring at the screen trying to make myself hit play and finding any reason to get up and walk away.
With that I'm going to end my post and start the next material...
As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a focused day!!!
