Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance takes place at a very prestigious school for holy shrine princesses called Areishia Spirit Academy. At this school, the girls train to be elementalists and try to form slave contracts with spirits so that they can compete in battles against one another. Only females have this privilege... at least until now.

Kamito Kazehaya is a normal guy in pretty much all respects except for the fact that he's the first man in 1,000 years to be able to form a contract with a spirit (which he "stole" from a shrine princess named Claire Rouge). Additionally, the headmaster of the school, Greyworth, has summoned him to enroll and is forcing him to participate in a special tournament that will take place two months down the road. With Claire demanding that he become her contracted spirit, will Kamito even manage to survive the entire two months until the tournament takes place?

My review!!!

The Anime can be watched on Crunchyroll...

Here is what they have to say about the show...

About the Show

Only a pure maiden can have the privilege to contract with a spirit. Priestesses, who can summon spirits from Astral Zero, the world of spirits, and have full command of their power, are called elementalists. Kamito Kazehaya is the only male with this privilege, and due to what happened in the past he comes to Areisha Spirit Academy where priestesses are trained to become elementalists. He is then told that he is to transfer to the school, form a team with priestesses to compete in Blade Dance where the most powerful elementalist is chosen, and win.

There is a lot you can understand from these two descriptions... But it only hints at the journey ahead!

All the beauties in this picture with our young Kamito are important parts of his journey and I have a feeling the one other guy (mr. red up in the corner there) will be an important part too.

In the first five episodes it is hard to tell if Kamito is a good guy or a bad guy... it's mixed at best! He used to have a contracted spirit and even though he ends up "stealing" a new one he never completely let go of his first... He wants to know something... About her...

To find out which her and what he wants to know you need to watch the show... Though I will at least warn you that it gets confusing since what you originally think he wanted ends up happening but he still keeps fighting... So what is his new reason to fight???

could it be one of these ladies we see with him...

Who knows.... I have not figured it out by the fifth episode so I can't truly say but don't you want to know??? By the way... Two of those girls are his contracted spirits... can you guess who?

Ok.... now that I have your attention... Lets rate it!

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "perfect-must-Watch" rating I give this...

Though it is highly reminiscent of "Infinite Stratos" I have to say it has it's own flair too.. Definitely a must watch! I can't wait to see what other crazy situations this young man ends up in!!!

As always... Thanx for reading my reviews!

Have a thrilling day!
