Synopsis

One day, Yasuke was working up the courage to confess his feelings for his childhood friend Akari. It was the perfect opportunity, since the two of them were going to eat dinner alone together at his family's shrine. Before dinner, he rushes through the daily shrine rituals and accidentally breaks a sacred mirror.

A goddess, who looks like a cute girl, curses him for it, and now he will die if he's ever separated from her. All too late, he learns that she's a goddess of misfortune, and horrible things happen around her whenever she's upset. Will he be able to get the goddess to lift the curse? And how will he ever explain this to Akari?

My review!!!

The manga this week can be found on MangaPark and Crunchyroll...

When I first started reading this manga I was thinking it was going to be another one along the lines of "Ah My Goddess" but boy was I wrong! I really shouldn't judge a book by it's cover or genre... To be completely honest I think that books of any kind should be read based on if it looks interesting to you no matter what it is about or who wrote it... Ya I know.. Stop babblin and get back to the review... OK!

So anyhow.... I didn't write what Crunchyroll or MangaPark had to say about this manga because I thought maybe some people might not like that sometimes they repeat themselves... So let me know if you like this setup better!

Now then... As I was saying... This manga was far from what I was expecting... It has comedy... It has love... Or rather... It has attempted love? I think.... I can't tell yet if it is love or just crushes and lust... Back to what it has! It has drama up the Ying-yang!

I'm not even kidding about the drama... His sister just makes it worse too... And somehow he starts with one goddess and keeps adding them to his harem! Not to mention there is the childhood friend who is in love with him and he also loves her... Throughout the whole thing his sister says nothing bad about it but oh wow does she push him into some awkward situations... Like school... DRAMA!!!

These two beauties are the first goddess and the childhood friend... Talk about wow... How lucky can this guy get?!?!? I mean... Look at them! Kawaii!

Anyhow... I haven't finished reading the manga yet so I can't give a final rating but... Let's do this!

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Read" rating I give this...

I really do like the comedy slice of life drama that this little number has come to be in my heart... This poor kid though... I bet you are asking why? He didn't ask for this and his life is on the line with it... Wait I should have said something about that earlier huh.. Yeah... Sorry.... Not sorry... hehe.

I guess if you want to see what else I have forgotten to tell you about then you should check out the manga... It just would be no fun if I told you everything about it after all! There are a lot of things in it that make you just want to keep reading too... so it is worth the time it takes!
Gonna let this end here so you can check it out...

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a fun day!

Synopsis

Have you heard of Jigoku Tsuushin (Hell Correspondence)? Those with a powerful grudge may only access this mysterious website at midnight, allowing them to enter anyone's name and have that person be ferried straight to hell. Ai Enma, the Hell Girl, will not judge whether or not the chosen target deserves punishment; she will merely exact revenge on them for you, provided your pain or suffering move her. Not much is known about this young girl other than that she swiftly carries out her tasks with the help of three straw dolls. There is just one catch, however—as payment for carrying out such a request, the user must condemn themselves to an afterlife in hell.

My review!!!

The Anime's first season can be watched on GoGo anime...

I don't really use this site very often though it is still a good site to use. So here is what I know and what I have found out by watching the Anime...

First of all I watched the first 5 episodes and felt like it was really interesting... Although it has a repetitive feel to it, this anime really isn't repetitive. If you watch carefully you can pick up on small things that I think will make a big difference later. I'm told it is not as repetitive feeling after episode 7 and that by episode 22 it feels like its totally different... That puts this anime at the top of the list of "Late Starters" in my book.

Now I'm sure you noticed there are only 26 episodes right? I'm sure you are wondering how the heck a late starter is going to wrap up an anime in just 4 episodes without sucking huh? That is easy... There are two more seasons! Because of this they didn't have to answer everything so fast.

I haven't really found out why but the first season is super expensive... Here is the only link I could find to where you can buy it.

I didn't find it anywhere other than Amazon but you might have better luck... Especially if you know someone who can get to or who already is in Japan! Akihabara might have a much better deal!

Back to the review! So we basically meet Enma Ai (last name first) as she grants peoples revenge... I don't know who her grandmother is but it's kind of creepy that she is never seen and always heard... Plus what is the deal with that spider we keep seeing??? I said that the episodes seemed repetitive but really they were also very enthralling... You just couldn't look away as each story revealed itself. To think what kind of pain one must be in to pull the red thread knowing that it means you will never go to heaven!

Then there is the fact that although she does not judge I think Ai is having issues with some of the things she is doing... Her grandmother at one point said something like "you don't have a choice" which makes me wonder why she doesn't have a choice... So each new episode then became a clue hunt... Why is Ai doing this... What is her reason for it... And how is she?

I don't know how much I'll find out in the first season but I sure am going to keep watching it to see! As for the rest of the set... Here is what I found out.

You can also buy the other seasons on Amazon...

They are considerably cheaper than the fist season and I don't know why that is since they both have the same number of episodes as the first season. That aside... If you want to know more about them then here are the links to the MyAnimeList pages I found on them.

Now as if that wasn't enough looking into it... I was excited bye what I read enough that I went and found where you can watch them too!

Now to rate what I've already seen...

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being a "Perfect-Must-Watch" rating I give this...

With all this information I think I should end the review... There was a lot to take in after all! I hope my research was helpful to you!

My review!!!

The manga this week can be found on MangaPark...

MangaPark: Hana Kimi Manga

Here is what MangaPark had to say about it...

Japanese-American Mizuki has gotten herself into a high school in Japan... but not just any school! To be close to her idol, high jumper Izumi Sano, she's going to an all-guys' high school... and disguising herself as a boy! But as fate would have it, they're more than classmates... they're roommates! Now, Mizuki must keep her secret in the classroom, the locker room, and her own bedroom. And her classmates--and the school doctor--must cope with a new transfer student who may make them question their own orientation...

So this one is very much like "Boy of the Female Wolf" which was a little bit surprising to me... It doesn't have the same story line just the same situation... Kinda... This girl is not doing the whole cross-dress as guy because of the same reason... Our dear Mizuki is at this school to see the High Jumper she idolizes in person! Boy does this "Girl" stir up trouble too... Yeah I did that on purpose!

As you can see from the summaries she makes a few people question what gender they really like... They don't know she is a girl so they think they have started to "become gay" and are not sure what to do or how to act! We all know there is no "becoming gay"... You either are or you aren't... But I guess these poor boys didn't get that memo... I feel bad for them that they are getting caught up in her lie.

I feel like this manga moves slow but not in a bad way... I really have no idea how the story will develop at the moment but I didn't even realize I had gotten to chapter 5 already. It is one of those manga that you can read for hours and it doesn't feel like it because the story, characters, and art are so captivating that you get lost in it all.

It seems they made it into a live action too... Look...

Those are the actors chosen for each role... I am soooo going to watch it! What do you think.... Did they choose the right actors and actresses for each character???

I think with rating the actors and actresses appearance in mind we should also rate the manga now!

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "perfect-must-read" rating I give this...

Sad but true... It got a 7 because I don't have any idea what is going on in the manga even after 5 chapters... Its good... It's fun to read and look at but there seems to be no real direction yet... I'm sure there is one but I'm missing it... I can't tell if this is a love story or if it is a story of a girl idolizing a guy and trying to help them get back on their feet... Maybe it is a bit of both... But either way I am not sure about it so I can't give it a higher rank. This doesn't mean I'm not interested though... On the contrary... I reallllllly wanna know where it is going so I will be reading all of it that I can find!

I think you should do the same... This is one interesting story to me!
I'm going to end the review here I think... I wanna get back to reading so I can figure this out!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Have an interesting day!

Aki Miyagawa moved to Tokyo to pursue her dream to be a taiko drummer, but had a hard time balancing her strict training regimen with her part-time job. Now, after 15 years, she's returning to coach others for a taiko festival.

Originally this was supposed to be another anime but I couldn't bring myself to write about it since I couldn't watch more than part of the first episode... I know there are people under 18 who read these and I have to keep it family friendly... after saying that I will tell you the name of the anime I didn't do and why...  The anime was "Aki Sora" and it was an incest based anime from what I could tell... This isn't to say that I won't or that I haven't written about this type of anime but this one just didn't sit ok with me. I'm sorry if I had mentioned the other anime before and you were looking forward to hearing what I had to say but I re-rolled the roulette and this is what I got!

My review!!!

The Anime can be watched on AnimeSeason.com...

Here is what they had to say about it...

Well... not really... They say the same thing about this as myanimelist does. Another thing about this one is that it really isn't an anime series... It is a movie! Yup a one-shot so to speak! I was so happy because it told a complete story and I could watch it all at once.

Now the reason I liked this one wasn't only the amount of episodes or the fact that you could get a full story all at once... It was the fact it was about something with a lot of history too! You should google Taiko at some point if you don't know what I'm talking about. Japan has a very rich taiko history... There are still traditional Taiko drum makers found around Japan. I know +Rachel & Jun did a video about how the drums were made but that is another blog post I posted on another day!

Back to this movie... Our story is about dreams coming true and how giving up is not something you should do because just when you think it won't happen... It just might! here are a few pics from the movie... when you watch it you should see if you can figure out where these are from!

Yes there are bits of eye candy for those who like topless guys! Here is one of the others I want to show you... One for those who like girls... Though it's not as showy...

And now a picture of the group!

They all look like they are having so much fun! I'm sure it is hard work but I have to say that watching this movie really made me want to go see a real performance! While watching it you can really get caught up in the rhythm! I so want to see it!

They say the taiko drum beats into your very soul and moves you. Could you imagine that! Nothing but drums and rhythm... Pure music is what I call it when there is only one instrument type.. and taiko is one I would say is very pure!

So with that purity in mind let's rate it!

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Watch" rating I give this...

Yup... The elusive 10! What can I say... I'm a sucker for any kind of anime, manga, or movie where someone makes their dreams come true... And in this one it might have taken her some time and struggles we didn't get to see but she did it... She didn't do it alone.. But it was soooo good!
I'm going to end this here now so you can go check it out!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
