Anime
.
Synopsis
.
.
Although her name means "snow white," Shirayuki is a cheerful, red-haired girl living in the country of Tanbarun who works diligently as an apothecary at her herbal shop. Her life changes drastically when she is noticed by the silly prince of Tanbarun, Prince Raji, who then tries to force her to become his concubine. Unwilling to give up her freedom, Shirayuki cuts her long red hair and escapes into the forest, where she is rescued from Raji by Zen Wistalia, the second prince of a neighboring country, and his two aides. Hoping to repay her debt to the trio someday, Shirayuki sets her sights on pursuing a career as the court herbalist in Zen's country, Clarines.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime depicts Shirayuki's journey toward a new life at the royal palace of Clarines, as well as Zen's endeavor to become a prince worthy of his title. As loyal friendships are forged and deadly enemies formed, Shirayuki and Zen slowly learn to support each other as they walk their own paths.

My review!!!

You can find this anime on...

Funimation: Snow White with the Red Hair

So when I read this title I instantly thought of Disney's Snow White... How many of you just did the same thing... It's easy to see why when it's kinda in the name... It made me feel like I was gonna watch an anime style snow white but have her have red hair... Now mind you this was all before I read anything describing it other than the name!

To be honest I couldn't have been farther from the truth! I think the only think I have seen so far that is like Disney's snow white is that crony line the witch asked the mirror and the fact someone eats a poisoned apple.... But even those are somewhat different...

****SPOILER ALERT****

So the thing is I really have to say something about the first prince we meet... Everything in me dislikes this guy... he tries to force Shirayuki into something so awful and then gets mad at her for running away... AND HE IS SO STUPID!!! He is our evil queen if I had to label him! Now for the spoiler and why he is so stupid.... You learn this right away so it isn't tooooo big a spoiler.... Our first glimpse of him is as he is saying the iconic Mirror Line... To which an attendant tells him that he isn't talking to a mirror but is talking to an informant. Our dear prince says "He's telling me what he saw so that's basically the say thing" or something like that.... He really said a person was the same as a talking mirror!!!! Really?!?!?! Even the informant seems dumbfounded at that!

OK... Now that I got that off my chest I can continue! I really did like this one... It was not what I expected but is something entirely new... I can't wait to see what other things from Disney's Snow White they add in as the episodes move on... Maybe we should start a game of "name the Disney plots used" or something like that... It might be fun! Let me know what you think in the comments below! Until then I'll just move on....

Speaking of moving on... Let me give you that rating!

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Watch" rating I give this...

My review!!!

When I read the title to this manga I really thought it had a lot of potential.. I love fairies and I love stories that are out of the normal everyday setting. I had very high hopes for this one so I started out with a great mood.... I wish I could say it lasted.... The story isn't bad and the art isn't drawn terribly so that was a plus but I had issues with this one.

There are going to be times when an anime or manga just doesn't sit well with you no matter how good it really is... I think this was one of those times for me. I read the manga and then I took a few days to let it sit with me so I could give an honest and truthful review since I was unsure about it when I first finished it.

So let's start with the facts... There are only 3 chapters posted on MangaPark and as far as I could tell that was all there was to the story. This alone makes me not really interested because in my opinion there can't really be any significant character growth with so few chapters. I'm always left feeling like I just started to get to know the characters and then the story is over when it's this short of a story... I never like that!

And true to my feelings I was disappointed... I found that the first two chapters are related to the original story and the last chapter is really the side stories. I don't feel like I got to know the characters at all!!!

But I did get to know the story enough to rate it...

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Read" rating I give this...

Yes it is a low score I know but I promise I had reasons! First... Although the art wasn't bad it wasn't a style I really enjoy looking at... It reminds me more of a comic I could get here in america and what I love about Manga is that it is so different from what I could get here.

Second was the biggest contributor to the low score... I didn't really feel the story flow was good... Now let me explain a bit. There were times the story felt like it was crawling and times it felt like it was rushed... Almost like the mangaka realized there were only going to be two chapters and at times they felt they needed to try to cram as much into those chapters as possible but then realized it was getting confusing so they slowed down to try to explain stuff a bit... It had that kind of a feeling. When there aren't that many chapters it is hard to get a whole story out and I think they did amazing because they managed to do that but it wasn't in a way I liked.

The last reason was that it was just too short! It was nice that there were side stories but those side stories seemed to have nothing to do with the original story and it made it seem odd to me... The fact that there wasn't enough left me with questions and no answers... I really didn't like that.

Even through all this I think it was a good manga... Just not one for me! Check it out an see if maybe it might be something you'd like!

Well that's all for now!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a romantic and fun filled day!

Synopsis

MyAnimeList:
Haruka and Sora Kasugano are coming home, to a place filled with memories.

Having lost their parents in a tragic car accident, the twins resolve to return to the countryside and start life anew at their grandfather's house, the haunt a constant reminder of moments from their past. Greeting them are childhood friends Nao Yorihime and Akira Amatsume, and newcomer Kazuha Migiwa. It is a warm welcome, symbolic of the days that should come.

Their peace is merely ephemeral, however, as suppressed emotions, born from vows both newfound and forgotten, start exerting their influence on the twins' new lives. And deep down, a dark secret, only known to them, begins to unshackle.

Based on the visual novel by Sphere, Yosuga no Sora not only explores the power of lost memories and true love when the bonds of many become intertwined, but also raises the questions of morality and social acceptance.

Crunchyroll:
After losing both of their parents in an accident, Haruka and his twin sister Sora move out of the city to the rural town where they spent their childhood summers. In their new home, everything seems peaceful until Haruka discovers a special, forbidden love that may disrupt the entire town.

My review!!!

The Anime can be watched on Crunchyroll...

This one is an interesting one... I really didn't have a clue what to think after reading those two discriptions... I bet you're thinking the same thing as me... What the heck is going to happen in this anime!?!?

Let me start by saying... Get the dirty thoughts out of your mind! This is a case of love that is pure but by society standers is ecchi... It really tests if you can see this kind of love as something bad or if it can be seen as good... Not to mention there are more conventional pure loves happening too...

I have to admit something... I am writing this mostly from what I remember from watching it years ago. I found it to be a good anime and would recommend it even though before seeing this I would have never recommended anything where family were in love like this... Unless that family was adults not blood related. But I really feel like this one was perfect the way it is.

So with that being said... I think I should now give you the rating...

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Watch" rating I give this...

Like I said it was beautifully done... The art was amazing and the story had just enough to make you wonder about your own morals... If you like the anime that grab you and pull you in then this might just be one for you... Even if it goes against all your morals... It may just open that mind of yours to different genre of anime or manga... And though that's scary you may find you like it!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a wonderfully romantic and mixed up day!

Plainful child. Akari is really attracted by the popular Unit of idols "Flower."

Then Akari get the chance to sing at the Flower's center?! But what is the secret that Flower keep…?!

You can read the manga here...

My review!!!

That was probably the shortest synopsis I've ever seen... But yet some how it is really compelling... I wanted to know what the big secret was and the only way to find out was to read the manga!

SOOOOOO clever!

Now first of all I decided to use an image that was showing an Akari that kind of reminds me of the "Deer in the headlights" saying we have here in america. She looks so confused and shy but like she belongs there... I like it more than this one that has her smiling like a ninny...

Don't get me wrong she looks good in both of the images but I like the other one better because it shows more of her true personality.

I don't know if this one has a lot of chapters since I was only able to find what you see on mangapark... And that wasn't a lot... But the end seems like it could and does go on farther... I will look into it at some point but for this review I just used what I could find. So now to figure out how to entice you without giving things away... After all... How can I do better than that synopsis???

To be honest I don't think I can do better.... I know I can say how much I liked reading it... But like I said before... It feels like there is more to it than what I can find... Even so... It could also be a complete story... It feels like it could go on or it could stop so maybe it was meant to be like that to get your imagination flowing thinking about how things play out with the idols? I just don't know!

So let's get to something I do know... Here is what I gave this one for a rating...

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "Perfect-Must-Read" rating I give this...

Surprised? I bet you are! For a rating this high it had to leave me wanting to  read more... And they managed that since I am going to be searching to see if this was released in the USA as a book and also to see how many books there are if it was! I want to know what happens and am kind of hoping that it is just being published so that I have a reason for why there are so few chapters online! As you can see it is worth it to give it a read... And as of right now it isn't too long a read so you can spend a small investment of your time and see if you end up like me on a quest to find more! If we are lucky then the Mangaka will see that it's popular and will create more for us!

Well I think I should end this one here and go do some research!
Happy reading!

As always... Thanx for reading my review!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
