Synopsis
.
.
Tooru Honda is a 16-year-old orphaned girl who gets invited to live in the house of her classmate, the handsome boy Yuki Souma, and his cousins, 16-year-old Kyou and 27-year-old Shigure. However, these young men and parts of the rest of their family (both close and distant) hold a curse; if they are hugged by the opposite gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese zodiac. Everyday is an adventure for sweet Tooru, as she gets to know everyone in the large family better (especially Yuki and Kyou), in both common and bizarre situations. But, the Souma family curse is certainly no laughing matter... It also holds horrible cruelty and heartbreak.

My review!!!

The Anime This week was cute... I watched it on FUNimation so I'll share a link to their page for it.

FUNimation: Fruits Basket

And here is what they say about the show...

Story

The Sohma family is cursed. When a member of the family is embraced by a person of the opposite gender, they transform into an animal of the Chinese Zodiac! The Sohmas managed to keep the curse private for generations, but when a young girl stumbles upon their hidden secret, life at the Sohma house changes forever! Conflict erupts as Zodiac rivals clash in this most unusual household. Young Tohru Honda must promise the secret will remain her own... or face the consequences!

Lets meet the main cast shall we???

These are the Sohmas that Tohru ends up living with... Though for some reason Kyou is represented twice. Can you guess how? I'm not telling but you can find out from watching or reading the series! At first the Tohru was supposed to live there for just a short while... But due to some things that happened she ends up being able to go back. I'm not going to tell you the things that happened because that would spoil you watching it... I'm sure you don't want that now do you???

So with that being said I'll now get straight to the point!

Time to rate it

On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being a "perfect-must-read" rating I give this...

I noticed within the first few episodes that this anime is LOADED with life advice... Which normally for me will ruin an anime... However it works in this one and makes everything go smoothly... Although sometimes it seems a bit long-winded so that is why it is only a 7. I definitely think it is worth watching even with that happening! Here as a little more incentive I will show you a picture of a few more of the Sohma family members that Tohru gets to meet!

Now doesn't that happy group make you want to know what they are like???

Alright I'm still not feeling well so I am going back to bed. Hope you enjoyed the review!

As always... Thanx for reading what I've written!!!

Have an amazing day!!!

Ugh.... Again!!! Update and info for you!

Ok so we have all probably noticed I get sick a lot! It's happening again! I have a very high temp this time though... Soooo not fun! My two girls are sick with me... And their father has joined us as well! All of us have fevers over 102° F (38.9° C) and a terrible cough... Pneumonia sucks!

For this reason my posts this week will be short and sweet sharing videos or something like that. As of right now I want to try to still do the full review on Wednesday but we shall see how I feel. I may have to postpone it. Here's to hoping I will be ok enough though.

Well this is all I'm going to write today... Sorry my Monday post was such a drag!

As always... Thanx for reading what I wrote!

Have an amazing day!

Angel Diary

.
Manga
.
Synopsis
.
.
The only Angel Princess of Heaven is betrothed to the Emperor of the Underworld. Unable to accept her future with the Demon King, she realizes that her only choice is to run away. Her plan is to join the human world disguised as a schoolboy! Now all of the Gods from Heaven and Hell are searching high and low on the earth trying to make sure that a wedding happens.

Now for my review!!!

The Manga was not a waste of time... I actually really like it! It seems there is a lot more mystery floating around her than she even knows.... And it is fun figuring out what is going on! The art is good and the story-line isn't the worst out there. It seems there is also mystery involving love... and lets not forget that she is an angel so that means she shouldn't fall in love with humans but... Well I'll let you read it to figure out what happens there.

Here is an example of the artwork...

It's also a sneak peak into the story... It's pretty far in too! I know I have actually not gotten to that part yet so I am sooo reading tonight! I wanna know what is going on and how they got to this point!!

Here is our princess at one point in the manga too...

Imagine that face with short hair.... That is our boy version of her!

OK... Now for the hard part...

I know... I know... Why so low you ask? It is simple... Right now while reading it I am confused often... then things get clear and go back and forth so I get lost all over again. If that is your cup of tea then I have found the manga for you! Even though that isn't what I normally like... There is something about this one that did captivate me so I will definitely be finishing the series.

You can read it on MangaPark here...

And you can buy the first volume here...

I hope the info was helpful and entertaining! I'm outta here!

As always... Thanx for reading what I've written!!!

Skip Beat!

.
Anime Vs. Manga
.
Synopsis
.
.
Bright, diligent, and yet naïve 16-year-old Kyouko Mogami works hard to support the career and dreams of her childhood friend, crush, and rising pop icon, Shoutarou Fuwa. Toiling endlessly at burger joints and tea ceremonies, the innocent Kyouko remains unaware that day in day out, all her tireless efforts have been taken for granted, until, one day, she finds out that her beloved Shou sees her as nothing but a free servant. Shocked, heartbroken and enraged, she vows to take revenge on the rookie star by entering the ruthless world of entertainment herself. As she steps into this new life, Kyouko will face new challenges as well as people who will push her out of her comfort zone.

Based on the best-selling shoujo manga by Yoshiki Nakamura, Skip Beat showcases the growth of a young woman who slowly unlearns how to work herself to the bone for the satisfaction of others and takes her future into her own hands instead

My review!!!

The Anime This week is one I had reviewed the manga of a while back. I thought it would be fun to compare them so now its time to share what I found...

First of all you can Read my review on Skip Beat! the manga here and read the manga itself on this site... MangaPark: Skip Beat!... I'm sure you can find it on MangaHere too but I didn't look this time... There might be a link in the review I wrote already though.
You can also watch Skip Beat! in a few different places...

Crunchyroll: Skip Beat!
KissAnime: Skip Beat!
GoGoAnime: Skip Beat!

The review was done while I was still getting used to writing them so please excuse the sloppiness of it... I know I could have gone back and fixed it for this post but that would get rid of the authenticity of the original post... And that's no fun!

So we are comparing the first 5 episodes of the Anime to the first 5 chapters of the Manga. By the time you finish episode 3 you have basically been caught up on everything in the first volume of the Manga. The first volume is the first 5 chapters. The Anime goes considerably faster than the Manga.

Ren is so mean to Kyouko in the beginning! I feel so bad for her as I watch it. I have advanced knowledge of the Manga though... Later on they are not nearly as icy to each other... In fact... they act out quite a steamy scene or two that I must say I never would have expected in the beginning!

However to find out what that part is then you will have to read the Manga... But... I suppose I could give you just a little spoiler... into what Kyouko looks like in it... Here it is... What do you think?????

I hope this has peeked your interest enough you want to read it and find out what happens!!!

I'm going to end my review here... Hope you enjoyed it!!!

As always... Thanx for reading!

Have a great day!!!

His life changes after he met Yoake Ryou of the ReLife Research Institute, who offered him a drug that can change his appearance to 17-years-old and to become a subject in an experiment for one year. Thus, he begins his life as a high school student once more.

Now for my review!!!

The Manga this week was a bit of a surprise... It isn't the type I would normally like but I got hooked really easily!!! I also found out that it is an Anime as well... I'll let you see the link here rather than looking for it yourself... Here it is!

ReLIFE Anime

I haven't looked into this being an Anime yet so I can't say where to find it... But I will tell you as soon as I know! I don't know about you but I wanna see it in motion!!!

Here is the star and his supporter for you to see...

Kaizaki is the dark haired person and the pill in his mouth will make him younger... The magic drug!

And here he is after taking the drug... So cute! Want to see what his supporter looks like???
Here ya go!

He is cute too right?!?!?

I have no idea how this ends yet since I haven't found the rest of the Manga yet but I am still looking soooo as soon as I find it I will let you all know. I have looked but I don't think it is currently available to buy here in the USA... Not fair!!!

But... You can read a bunch of the chapters on Crunchyroll if you are a member... Here is a link to it!

Crunchyroll: ReLIFE Manga

I don't know if you can find it available anywhere else though since I believe it is licensed. I'm really glad I was able to read any of it!

I am glad that I read it even though I normally wouldn't have... I think this proves the theory that you should never judge a book by it's cover... Or in this case a manga!

I'm going to leave now cause I have to finish hunting down the rest of the chapters.... If you know where I can read the chapters starting at 52.5 then please let me know!

Hope you Like the review... Let me know if there is one you think I should check out too!

As always... Thanx for reading what I've written!!!

Have an amazing day!!!

3/1/16

A little crazy...

I know the title is not very descriptive... But that's ok!

It's about me.. I've gone a little crazy lately! I'm currently putting the book I'm writing on hold for a bit... I am finding that I have a bad case of writers block... It concerns writing a conversation from three point of views, complete with inner thoughts, all witnessing the same conversation, at the same time, and I have to write this without saying the same things over and over again!

My mind is breaking trying to figure it out... Soooo... Rather than kill myself with it I'm taking a break! To fill the time I am reading a light novel in Japanese... I, however, am not good at reading Kanji! This makes it a bit crazy to read a whole book filled with kanji... At least it does when you are doing this specifically to stop working your brain so hard!

I'm hopeless lol

Does anyone know a good way to look up Kanji fast and easily??

This craziness is at least a lot of fun though! Don't worry... I won't be stopping my posts...
I hope you will continue to enjoy reading them!

And..... On that note I'm going to end this post here.

As always... Thanx for reading what I wrote!!!

Have an amazingly awesome day today min'na-san!
